I also help students develop strategies to succeed with online learning.
Proofreading and Editing
I provide a proofreading service to check for spelling, punctuation and grammar errors. I also offer a more detailed editing service which helps to improve the clarity, tone and flow of academic writing.
How can I help you?
I offer specialist one-to-one online dyslexia tuition for students studying in the following areas:
Further education – A Levels and vocational college courses
Higher education – all undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs
Adult learners – returning to education, learning in the workplace and general literacy development
Many students enter further and higher education with a diagnosis of dyslexia.
Whilst this is an exciting and rewarding time, lengthy reading lists and large amounts of written work can be challenging for the dyslexic learner.
The recent transition to online learning can also form an additional barrier to success.
Therefore, receiving specialist support at this stage can be crucial to maintaining motivation and confidence.
My tuition is designed to support students with all aspects of their academic work.
I help my students to plan and write their essays with confidence, stay on track with their academic reading and most importantly - reach their academic potential.
My tuition also helps students develop strategies to learn effectively and successfully online.
My lessons will focus on helping you to improve and develop in the following areas...
Developing and expanding use of academic vocabulary
Support and strategies to succeed with online learning
Improving clarity of expression and developing a clear, concise and precise writing style
Understanding essay questions and assignment guidelines
Structuring and planning ideas, paragraphs and essays
Improving grammar, spelling and punctuation
Memory and revision techniques
Use of assistive software – such as speech-to-text and mind mapping software
If you have a formal dyslexia diagnosis you may have been given exam access arrangements. This usually means you will have 25% extra time, a reader and/ or a scribe for your exams. I will help you make the most of these arrangements.
